University at Albany-SUNY

The campus at SUNY Albany is divided into two areas: the Uptown Campus and the Downtown Campus. The Uptown Campus is the main campus and is located at 1400 Washington Avenue in Albany, was designed in 1961-62 by renowned American architect Edward Durell Stone. The buildings are built in bold unified design and feature domes, towers, and fountains. The main library, Performing Arts Centre, and the Atmospheric Sciences Research Centre are all located at the campus. Besides, the main library, the other three are also within the premises.The second area of the campus, which is known as the Downtown Campus was developed in 1909. This campus comprises of the Rockefeller College of Policy and Public Affairs, College of Information Technology, School of Criminal Justice, and the School of Social Welfare. In addition, a new campus, Health Sciences Campus was opened across 87 acres of land and it houses the Cancer Research Centre and the School of Public Health.

The University at Albany, SUNY does not offer 100% scholarship. However, the Global Excellence Scholarships are applicable to incoming international students. This scholarship is awarded as oer academic achievements and other qualifications, which is decided by the admissions committee.Scholarships can reach a maximum of $17,500 per year for first year applicants, for a potential total of $70,000 over a period of four years.Teh scholarships are renewed every year on the condition that the student maintains a GPA of 2.5+ & continues his/her enrolment as a full time student paying out-of-state tuition.Scholarships are also applicable for chosen transfer students, with the maximum limit of $9,500. These scholarships are also renewable as per the conditions mentioned above

International applicants are given the University at Albany Global Excellence Scholarships based on their academic performance as well as additional requirements chosen by the admissions committee.For first-year (freshmen) applicants, the highest scholarship offer is $17,500 per year, with a possible four-year total of $70,000. These scholarships are re-awardable as long as the recipient maintains an overall GPA of 2.5 or better and continues to attend University at Albany full-time while paying out-of-state tuition.Select transfer students may also be eligible for scholarships, with the highest grant amount being $9,500. The University at Albany, SUNY has three campuses -1) The Main Campus - The uptown campus of the University is the mai campus and is situated at 1400 Washington Avenue in Albany. It was designed by renowned American architect Edward Durell Stone in 1961-62.  It houses the majority of the academic and administrative buildings.2) Downtown Campus - The Downtown Campus, in Albany at 135 Western Avenue, is a traditional Georgian-style facility that operated as the primary campus from 1909 to 1966. It primarily focuses on the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy and various other programs.3) The Health Sciences Campus - One of the thriving bioscience research and high-tech hubs in the area is the Health Sciences Campus, a former pharmaceutical complex bought in 1996 and situated at One University Place in Rensselaer. The School of Public Health and the New York State Department of Health have a long-standing, highly collaborative connection there.
