UCE is an average institution. Although the engineering programs are of good standard with good faculty for core branches, the students have given rather negative reviews about quality teaching in computer and IT disciplines. The college's placement record is decent, with almost 50 percent of students getting placed, including in companies like TCS and Infosys, though on average packages for around 3 LPA. Overall, while it offers fundamental facilities and a friendly atmosphere, it fails in meeting the expectations of all students who would look forward to achieving the greatest mark of excellence.

Most universities, including UCE, follow a refund policy based on AICTE/UGC guidelines. Fees may be refunded if a student withdraws their admission before a certain deadline, though some administrative charges may be deducted. It’s important to check the university’s specific refund policy during admission.

Unluckily, the cutoff for MBA admission this year at the University College of Engineering could not be determined. However, it will be different for Karnataka PGCET 2024 because the likely cutoff rank for MBA is 2000+ in the BNM Institute of Technology and KLE Technological University. Here are some expected cutoffs for MBA at other colleges: RV Institute of Management: approximately 176, PES University: approximately 575, Ramaiah Institute of Technology: approximately 63, BMS College of Engineering: approximately 695, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering: approximately 787.
