Aspirants are first required to fill out the application form for the respective exam. The inter-se merit of the candidates for BE admission will be determined on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained in JEE Main followed by JAC Counselling. For lateral entry, PULEET is conducted by the university for admission. UIET selects aspirants for ME/ M.Tech courses based on GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also get admission based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.

UIET Chandigarh fee varies course-wise. Candidates are required to pay the course fee at the time of admission to confirm their seat. The total tuition fee for BE ranges between INR 4.3 Lacs and INR 6.2 lakh. The fee for ME is quite low than BE. Yes, UIET Chandigarh offer direct entry to second year of BE course. Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum three or two years duration with Physics and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD) to apply for BE (LE). Aspirants who have completed DVoc stream from Polytechnic college with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD) can also apply.
