University of British Columbia Eligibility

Hi, your IELTS scores seem fine. But, they are not the only criteria for admission. See that you have the relevant education background and good grades to apply.

With this IELTS scores, you are definitely eligible for the university. But, can you also tell us about your academic scores in Bachelors, as canada is immensely inclined towards the academic scores. You should have the academic scores of above 60 percent.

To be considered for the UBC, MBA applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree with above 70%, have atleast 2-years of work experience, have a valid GMAT score and must take the IELTS or TOEFL. Different programs have different requirements, you can check the university website for the programme you want to study since you haven't mentioned the subject, alternatively you can mention here.

Obviously because it is highly ranked, the higher the ranking tougher is to get admission. If you look at it the reverse way they are highly ranked because they are selective. Universities must be selective and competitive in their admission process so that they produce good students. I hope you got some clarity. And by the way, UOT which I believe is University of Toronto is also very competitive and in par with UBC.

You cannot skip the process whatsoever until and unless the university permits you to do so. Quite obviously, if you are still in class 12th, you must submit the predicted scores and mid-term mark sheet. Please contact the university directly for further university specific query.

Please visit the UBC website for admission requirement. It is clearly stated that the minimum average needed to fall within the competitive range is approximately 74% on a 33% pass scale, or 76% on a 40% pass scale. If you haven't checked the website yet, here is the link:

Your 10th and 12th marks, Under graduation GPA (if applicable), IELTS or TOEFL scores
Course based scores -
GMAT scores if you are applying to MBA
GRE scores if you are applying for MS course.
