As per the official website of UC Davis, the acceptance rate is 37.5% for Freshemen applications and 58.5% admit rate for Transfer admissions. The stats show that the University is moderately selective. The size of the candidate pool, the number of openings, and institutional priorities are only a few examples of the factors that might affect acceptance rates from year to year. Furthermore, UC Davis programmes may have varying acceptance rates, with some being more selective than others. You will be required to pay close attention to your GPA and SAT/ACT scores to get in.

Hi Harsha, it is difficult to answer if you will get admission as it is a decision taken by the university after evaluating all competing applicants. A GRE score of 310 and above usually is recommended but class profiles comprises of students with varying education background. You seem to have a decent profile. Give the TOEFL and aim the CGPA of 8 to 9 as you mentioned. Try to engage in more activities like project work, a very good internship or final year project should help.

It will be difficult to get job in US and UK without experience as these countries may not give you work visas. You are advised to join Mid or large size IT company. Based on your experience and work you may get onsite assignment with in 2 to 3 years. Once you have onsite experience you can work out a plan for long term stay in these countries.
