Both Albert Ludwigs university of Freiburg and the University of Cologne are recognised among the top universities in the world. As per the university rankings, Albert Ludwigs university of Freiburg was ranked at 113 position by THE (Times Higher Education), while the Univeristy of Cologne was ranked at 143rd spot by the same university ranking body.
