To be eligible for a Danish Government Scholarship at the University of Copenhagen, you must be a citizen of a country outside the EU, EEA, or Switzerland and have been admitted to a master's degree programme at the university. For undergraduate programs, a 6.0 Danish equivalent GPA is required. Some scholarships may require a GPA of 10 or higher on the Danish grading scale. The scholarships are competitive and awarded based on academic achievement, with no consideration given to financial need. All non-EU/EEA applicants to the University of Copenhagen's MA/MSc degree programs are automatically considered for the scholarships

Yes, the University of Copenhagen offers scholarships for international students. The Danish Government Scholarships are competitive and are awarded to highly talented students with outstanding academic records from non-EU/EEA countries. Additionally, the IT University of Copenhagen offers state scholarships to three or four exceptionally talented MSc applicants from outside the EU and EEA. The Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen also has a limited number of scholarships to award outstanding non-EU/EEA MSc applicants.

There are around 5500 international students out of a total student body of 39000, which is approximately 14% of the student population. Additionally, over 1,700 international students attend the university every year. The International Office at the University advises exchange students on practical and academic matters, such as admission procedures and other relevant information.

Danish and English both are the language of instruction at the University of Copenhagen. The majority of the bachelor's courses at the University of Copenhagen are taught in Danish language. However, Copenhagen University offers over 50 master's programs entirely in the English language.  International students are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the language of their programme to get into Copenhagen University.
