The university has programme, course, and country-specific requirements for international students. In general, the country-specific requirements for Indian aspirants are as given below for each programme.Undergraduate AdmissionsIndian students are required to have a minimum of 70% in Grade 12A minimum of 75% is required in English from CBSE, CICSE, and Maharashtra boardsProof of English language proficiencyPostgraduate AdmissionsStudents are required to have a bachelor’s degree from institutions recognised by NARIC or government recognised institutions or universities. The University of Derby provides overseas students with scholarship opportunities. The bulk of scholarships are given out in accord with the merit and academic excellence of the applicants. They include, among others:Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship - International undergraduate and graduate students who have excelled academically are eligible for the vice chancellor's scholarship. Students receive one year's worth of tuition for the programmes they choose.International Excellent Student Scholarship: Students from abroad who excel in the classroom are eligible for a GBP 5,000 scholarship.GREAT Scholarship: The institution offers international students who apply for postgraduate degrees a scholarship worth £11,000. InternationalMerit Scholarship: Students from India are eligible for a GBP 1,500 scholarship. To be eligible for this award, students must show exceptional academic accomplishment.Postgraduate (PGT) Scholarship: International students enrolled in postgraduate taught programmes are eligible to apply for a GBP 2,000 postgraduate (PGT) scholarship.
