Acceptance into MS in Computer Science at the University of Houston is done according to a competitive review of an applicant’s academic background, grades in pre-requisite coursework, GRE scores, resume, recommendation letters, and personal statement. As per the profiles of the competitive applicants, a GRE total score of 305 or higher is required. It is recommended to have a GRE Quantitative score of 155 or higher.

International applicants must have an equivalent GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for undergraduate admissions at the University of Houston. Apart from this, the applicants must have no college coursework to be considered as an international freshman student. Additionally, the applicants have to fulfill English language proficiency requirements. Note that some majors might have additional requirements.
