The hostels of the University of Jammu are neat, clean and offer all kinds of amenities for making the living of boarders enjoyable. Each hostel room is well-ventilated and airy. There are a few rooms in each hostel having single-seating capacity and the majority are twin-sharing.

Within the Central University of Jammu campus, there are multiple hostels available for students, with four hostels designated for boys and four for girls. These hostels cater to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students. PhD students are provided with single rooms, while others share rooms. Since all the hostels are located on campus, there is no requirement for external PG accommodations. Furthermore, near the Central University of Kashmir, there are reasonably priced PGs and hostels such as Dhiraj PG, Sharma Paying Guest House, Raina PG, etc., which are conveniently located in close proximity to the institute itself.
