Out of these, 22% of seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) category and, 6% of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) category. Kalyani University reserved a total of 3% seats for physically challenged candidates, in each subject of the BSc programme. Such candidates must provide a copy of valid disability certificate, issued by the competent authority (The Handicap Board constituted by the Office of the Superintendent, District Hospital) of the district of residence, while filling the application form.No application without attachment of necessary documents shall be entertained. The percentage of disability of candidates will only be considered while preparing the merit list of such physically disabled candidates.

Kalyani university BSc seats are allocated based on merit in Class 12. However, the seat allocation is also subject to reservation policy. The university’s seat reservation states the following:22% of the total seats are reserved for SC candidates6% of the total seats are reserved for the ST candidates17% of the total seats are reserved for the OBC candidates3% of the total number of seats in each subject shall be reserved for physically challenged candidates Candidates belonging to any of the above mentioned category must attach the applicable certificates while applying.
