Madras University is ranked 64th by NIRF 2024 under the Overall category,  39th by NIRF 2024 under the University category,  and 12th by NIRF 2024 under the State Public University category. At the undergraduate level, the Madras University offers BTech courses to students. BTech students are placed in top companies at top positions. Hence, pursuing BTech at Madras University is worth a try.

As per the Madras University rule book, all students must have 75% and above attendance for appearing for the university exams. (Theory/Practical). If a Student fails to have the minimum attendance, the principal shall approve the shortage of attendance up to a maximum limit of 10% after collecting the prescribed fee of INR 250 each for Theory/Practical exams separately.
