DTE releases the TANCET MBA merit list for candidates selected to take part in the counselling round. The closing rank for MBA in 2022 was 7184. In addition, rank one was given to a candidate with a TANCET score of 99.995. The selected candidates with their names in the TANCET rank list are further required to pay the counselling fee and exercise choices. For MBA course admission, candidates must have a valid Bachelor’s degree in any subject of the University of Madras or any other University accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto. This is the minimum eligibility criteria and fulfilment of the same does not confirm selection. For the verification purposes, candidates are also required to present the Bachelor’s mark sheets and certificate along with other academic certificates during form filling/admission confirmation. In case of non-submission of the documents, an application is treated as invalid.

Yes, Madras University is a good option to pursue an MBA degree for admission to management courses. The university is ranked 39 among top universities in India as per the NIRF 2022 rankings. As per the NIRF report 2023, during Madras University placements 2022, the median package offered to PG (2 years) students were INR 3.60 LPA and 440 candidates were placed. In addition, a growth of almost 79% was recorded in the 2022 median package for PG (2 years) courses when compared with 2021.
