Madras University BCom seats are allotted based on their academic performance in the qualifying examination. The total seat intake for the BCom programme across all the affiliated colleges of the University is INR 13,873. However, the mentioned seat intake is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and, hence, is indicative.

Students who excel and have achieved merit are eligible for many endowment scholarships. Students need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria for being eligible for the scholarships. At the postgraduate level, Madras University offers MA, MSc, MBA, and other courses to students. Chennai University also provides PhD, diploma, certificate, and other courses to students. The duration of these courses varies. The fee is dependent on the course duration and the specialisation selected by the student.

University of Madras Chennai is accredited with A++ Grade by NAAC and was established in 1857. The University of Madras Chennai India offers various facilities to students such as computer labs, a big library, and others. There are several schools of study under the Madras University. Some of them are School of Historical Studies, School of Philosophy and Religious Thought, School of Economics, and others.

The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:60 at the Madras University. The University of Madras Chennai India faculty are quite experienced and skilled in training professionals. University of Madras Chennai Tamil Nadu faculty are diploma, PhD, and degree holders. University of Madras Chepauk Chennai invites guest faculty for lectures and several other workshops.

The university also provides diploma, certificate, PhD, and other courses to students. MCom students are taught Advanced Marketing, Advanced Management Theory, Advanced Corporate Accounting and Accounting Standards, and other topics.

Yes, MSc at Madras University is a good course which is offered at the PG level. MSc students are placed in top companies at top positions. MSc students can further go for PhD or diploma courses and can became lecturers, teachers, or can even go in Research field. Some of the specialisations in which MSc is provided is Computer Science and others.

The recent placements statistics has not been released by IDE University of Madras for MBA courses, however, as per the students’ reviews on the Shiksha page,  84% of the recent batch was successfully placed in the reputed companies. The the highest and the lowest package offered during the recent Madras University Distance Education placements stood at INR 35 LPA and INR 7 LPA, respectively. Note: Due to unavailability of information on the highest package of MBA at IDE University of Madras, the data presented above is relevant for all courses offered at IDE University of Madras.
