The university secured the same ranking in 2023 as well. Moreover, the University of Manitoba ranked 12th in the Research Infosource list of Canada’s Top 50 Research Universities in 2022. Shiksha Study Abroad grading system has allotted an overall grade of B+ to Manitoba University. Courses such as Biology, Business Economics, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering have been graded B, C+, and C+ by the Shiksha Study Abroad Grading system respectively.

The University of Manitoba offers two types of Bachelor’s degrees. The first type of Bachelor’s degree requires about 120 credit hours of study and is of 4 years and the second type of Bachelor’s degree requires about 90 credits hours of study and is of 3 years.

Once students successfully complete the UTP Stage II programme and fulfill transfer requirements including a minimum of 30 credit hours of advanced standing, they can apply to the second year of the UM program. Also note that some programs may have completion pre-requisites and / or a competitive GPA.

The International College of Manitoba (ICM) offers programs that are designed to prepare students for university studies. It offers bachelor’s programs. Upon the completion of ICM studies, students can transfer directly into the second year of the University of Manitoba. This is subjective to if students meet the criteria such as meeting the academic requirements and application deadlines. On the other hand, the University of Manitoba offers various bachelor’s and master’s programs and one can complete all the years of the programme from here only

The University of Manitoba expects a minimum GPA of 2 from international students. However, students who were admitted to recent classes have scored much more than that. International students must aim to score a higher GPA than required to get admission smoothly.

As per the unofficial data, the University of Manitoba currently has over 30,000 students.
