To qualify as a first-year international (UG) student at UMBC, the applicants must have completed high school / secondary school with proper academic subjects. In order to apply, the applicants are required to submit the application and pay the application fee. The documents required to complete the University of Maryland Baltimore County are academic transcripts, English language proficiency score, letters of recommendation, etc. For graduate courses, the applicants must have a minimum undergraduate degree with a specified GPA and English language proficiency.

UMBC University is a public institute that was founded in 1966. It is a top-ranked national university. In the 2024 edition of best colleges ranking (national universities category), UMBC ranks at #133 position. Furthermore, there are more than 250 student organizations. Also, the class size at the university is of around 50 students. The student-to-faculty ratio is 17:1.

Yes, UMBC accepts international students at the both undergraduate and graduate levels. More than 1,000 students are there at the university. Over 90 countries are represented by the students. The University of Maryland Baltimore County does not mandate the submission of GRE scores as part of the application process. However, if applicants choose to submit their GRE scores, the university will give these scores significant weight in their evaluation. To send GRE scores, applicants must use ET’s submission method while submitting to the University of Maryland Baltimore country.
