Admission to the said course will be made on purely merit basis. (Percentage of aggregate marks/grade secured at the qualifying examination). There is no CET for the admission.

A candidate should fulfill any of the following criterion in order to apply for Ph.D research programme at Mumbai University:
1. Candidates should hold Masters Degree/ M.Phil Degree in relevant discipline from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks in total for general category and 50% marks in case of reserved category.
2. The applicant should be a teacher having full time teaching experience of at least two years in Degree College or five years in Junior College.
3. The candidate must be a graduate and working in National Laboratories/ Institutes/ Government/ Private organisation

Thinking about getting a PR is too early for you. A PR does not come automatically with the university admission. You must first receive the university acceptance, complete the course, get a job and work in Canada for a few years till you are eligible. You have to extend your stay and things will depend on your job, employer etc. Different province have different requirements for PR. Some provinces have better scope. You can check the Canada immigration website for details.
