A comparison of UNB with other similar Canadian universities is given below. However, the final decision is solely dependent on students as there are various factors for making this decision such as location, faculty, scholarships availability, desired course availability, etc.

UNB is a world leader in developing MRI technology, uncovering new ways to help companies find previously untapped reserves of oil and gas. Also, it is to be noted that the Technology that is used in Google Maps was developed at the University of New Brunswick. It is one of Canada’s top comprehensive universities. It offers world-class programs with a small university experience. Also, the Computer Science and Engineering faculty members at UNB are ranked in 201-250 brackets in Times Higher Education 2023 subject rankings.

It is also a member of Study New Brunswick Canada. Furthermore, the university has attained 5 stars as per a top-ranking publisher. Additionally, the student-to-faculty ratio at this university is 15:1. This means that small class sizes would mean that students can have great learning experience.

As per unofficial sources, the University of New Brunswick acceptance rate is around 66% - 79%. This means that this university is somewhat selective at the time of admission. The applicants are required to meet the entry requirements and submit the application on time. The general entry requirements would require students to have passed Class 12 for admission to UG courses. For admission to PG courses, the applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.

There are 2 campuses of UNB, Fredericton and Saint John Campus. The Fredericton campus is located in New Brunswick’s capital, Fredericton. Saint John Campus is situated on the Bay of Fundy. At both of the campuses of the university, there are more than 1,500 graduate students. Fredericton is the original campus of UNB Canada.

In 2024, the university is ranked at #711-720 in the same publisher’s ranking. According to another ranking publisher, UNB Canada ranks at #601-800 position in 2024

For one-year MBA at the UNB Saint John Campus, the tuition fee for one year for international students is CAD 34,026. Out of this, the tuition fee is CAD 32,099 and the rest are the other mandatory fees. On top of this, students have to look for living expenses as well. Also, note that a number of merit awards up to CAD 10,000 each are given to outstanding full-time students with a high standing.
