UND provides on-campus accommodation for students. The cost to live on campus varies by living option. Residence Halls are billed similarly, while apartment-style housing and on-campus apartments vary by unit type.It has many residence halls and over 850 on-campus apartments. Some of the amenities that are provided to students who live on-campus include maintenance, bed lofts, internet, laundry and more. Note that all the first-year students are required to live in a residence hall, on-campus for their first, full-academic year. According to the College Housing facts, 34% of on-campus students return to live on campus for another year

The University of North Dakota Student Employment programme provides part time job opportunities to student to help finance their educational needs along with providing work experience which allows students to explore career options, discover strengths, and see how academic learning applies to world of work. The positions are available on campus and wages vary depending on the job. International students are not eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS), however, they can still work on-campus.

The first year tuition fee for University of North Dakota MS course ranges between INR 13.7 Lacs and INR 23.2 Lacs as per an unofficial source. Students who get into the university need to pay the course fee as per the guidelines of UND. Apart from the tuition fee, aspirants also need to pay a non-refundable application fee at the start of the admission process. The application fee for PG courses is $35.

In 2022, UND ranked at 249 position in the national universities category ranking by U.S. News. A slight decline can be observed in the U.S. News national universities category ranking. UND ranks at the 1208 position in the global universities category ranking by U.S. News in 2022-23. In case of the global universities category ranking of U.S. News, UND's ranking has declined as in 2022, the university was placed at 1081.

Students can join a club, go Greek or participate in cultural events. UND has the state’s the largest 521-acre campus. Recently, UND built Nistler College of Business & Public Administration and a new Memorial Union. The Chester Fritz library of UND is the largest library in North Dakota state. It is centrally located on campus. Also, the library is the primary research facility for UND and the upper Midwest region. There are 17 NCAA Division I athletic teams and 260+ student clubs and organizations at UND. Apart from this, students are open to participate in programs and club events.
