The University of Oregon has an acceptance rate of 86%. Earlier it was between 81% and 93%. The high acceptance rate shows the university is not stringent during admission procedure and the competition is comparatively low than other universities in Oregon. The low competition does not show the university accepts all the application submitted during admission. Students must showcase their eligibility and talent to a part of the university.

With the acceptance rate of 86%, the University of Oregon is easy to get into. However, it does not mean that the university accepts everyone applying for their programs. Students must fulfill the basic eligibility including the proof of school or college attended along with the English language proficiency for UG and PG programs respectively. Also, they must submit the required documents, such as official transcripts, GPA scores, letter of recommendations and more.

The University of Oregon expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 3 on the 4 pointer scale. Along with the GPA, students must submit the standardized test scores including ACT or SAT to improve the chances of selection. However, the university provides a test option to the students but most of them prefer to submit all three of the score to get priority in the competitive selection. In addition, students must submit the official transcripts of all the school or colleges attended and provide a proof of English language proficiency.
