The University of Pittsburgh expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 2 for undergraduates and 3 for Postgraduates on a scale of 4. The GPA is a numeric indication of a student’s academic achievements on a grade-point scale. International students must try to score above the required GPA as it has a high weightage during selection. Along with the GPA, standardized test scores, English language proficiency scores, and personal statements are equally crucial and can impact the probability of Pitt selection.

Work experience is an important factor that AdCom considers during the admissions process. Although work experience is not mandatory for admission to the full-time MBA and dual/joint degree programmes, it helps in distinguishing one applicant from another. The Adcom also considers significant internship experience as work experience.
