It varies regarding the cut-off percentage for admitting in MCA in the University of Madras (UNOM) for the academic year 2023. For the general category, opening cut-off was 101 and closing cut-off was 78. For SC category, opening cut-off was 89, whereas closing cut-off is 59. Cutoff is usually around 54 marks at the UNOM for the general category for MCA. While OBC candidates get it at a little lower scale, and SC and ST get it more leniently, usually in the bracket of 43 to 35 marks. It may change every year according to the number of applicants and the difficulties in the exams. For more recent and accurate cut-off dates, check the university's proclamation or website.

The cutoff of TANCET for the University of Madras (UNOM) in 2023 for general category students was around 54 marks. In fact, the cutoff varies according to different categories. For example, candidates from the OBC, SC, and ST categories had lower cutoffs-they were around 51, 43.3, and 35.3 marks, respectively. This called for candidates as well as parents, who aspire for admissions in different streams such as M.Sc. to M.Tech to catch up on those required cutoff scores for admission. These are in general, cutoffs will change every year depending upon the competition and the toughness of the paper.

The University of Madras, Guindy Campus UNOM has refund policies regarding withdrawal, with regard to the timing of withdrawal and circumstances. Usually, if the student withdraws from a course just before classes start, nearly all fees paid may be refunded, minus a minimal processing fee. However, if a withdrawal takes place after courses have started, a refund will most likely be made with a lowered amount, and in many cases, there will be no refund at all after a certain time period.
