The Ministry of Education (MoE) announced that it will conduct Board exams twice a year from the session 2024. The main objective behind conducting the exam twice is to allow the students to retain the best score. As per the MoE, the exams will be based on the new curriculum which has been developed for the academic session 2023-24. However, as of yet, the Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh has not confirmed that the UP Board exams will also be held Twice a year. As soon as any update regarding the same is provided by the board, we will update the same here as well.

Yes, the board is not a hurdle in taking the admission. The only thing is that you have to pass class 10th to take a Diploma course after class 10th, and there is a Diploma course after class 12th. You can also opt for that also, but you have to take Science in class 12th for that and at least 50 percent marks in class 12th is required. You have to join Polytechnic exams to take admission in  good colleges.

Generally the students are required to score more than 75% or above to enter to the top 20 percentile of their respective boards just to be eligible for joint entrance examination (JEE).

For CAT, graduation from a recognized university is required. It matters a lot about your 10th & 12th during IIM shortlisting but to appear for CAT one needs to have just graduated from a recognised university.
