Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination from UP Board or equivalent to be eligible for UPSEE 2020. The qualifying subjects and marks in the qualifying exam differ according to various programs. Candidates must have either passed the qualifying exam from any institution in Uttar Pradesh or must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh in order to be eligible for UPSEE 2020. In case of being a domicile of Uttar Pradesh, a candidate will have to produce domicile certificate of their parents (Father or mother) during the verification process. If a candidate is not a domicile of Uttar Pradesh and has passed the qualifying exam from any institute of the state, he/she will also be eligible to apply for UPSEE 2020. However, such candidates will be considered for admission to only 20% of the sanctioned seats available in private institutions affiliated to Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).
