Yes, you can apply for UPCATET after completing your 12th from the NIOS Board. The eligibility criterion to apply for the UPCATET exam involves completing 12th from a recognised board, even if NIOS is for open education, the board is a recognised entity. This enterance exam is conducted once per year to provide UG and PG admissions in Agriculture Disciplines. To apply for the UPCATET exam a candidate must hold a Domicile of the UP state, considering that you already have this, you can easily apply for the exam. The application forms for the exam were out on March 17, 2024, and you can fill them out till May 7, 2024. The exam conducting authority has clearly mentioned in the official broucher that "Open & Distance Education" will be considered for educational qualification eligibility criteria of UPCATET. Applicants who have completed their education as full time course will be eligible to fill the form and apply online. Only those students are required to fill the application form who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities.

Yes, applicants who pass the 12th standard exam with compartment will also be eligible to appear in the UPCATET exam. There are no passing percentage marks for the UPCATET exam. Candidates need to just pass the exam. But there are wise criteria which must need to abide by. Students should not be more than 16 years and less than 22 years of age on December 31, 2024. Applicants who fulfill both criteria need to fill UPCATET application form and appear in the exam.

There are different eligibility criteria decided by the exam conducting authorities whcih includes both age as well as education for UG courses. There is no age limit for PG and PhD courses.  For BVSC & H course the minimum and maximum age limit of candidate need to be 17 and 25 by Decemeber 31st 2024. While for all other course the minimum and maximum age limit of candidate need to be 16 and 22 by Decemeber 31st 2024 for CUPCATET 2024 exam. Note: Person with Disability (PwD) will be given a relexation of 5 years in upper age limit.
