UPES Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to the BTech courses can appear in the UPESEAT 2025 exam. The UPESEAT 2025 application form is available online on the official website at upes.ac.in. All the candidates seeking admission to the BTech courses in UPES must fill out the UPESEAT application form 2025.UPES accepts scores from all the major national-level engineering exams such as JEE. It conducts its entrance engineering exam or the UPESEAT for students not appearing for national-level engineering tests.candidates can get direct admission to the UPES. Candidates who have passed graduation in any stream along with Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate can apply for MBA course. Apart from meeting the eligiiblity requirement, candidates also need to pass either UPESMET/ CAT/ CUET PG  for admission to MBA course. In case, any aspirant fails to secure the minimum marks* specified by the university, he or she will need to appear for UPESMET. For admission to Global MBA, aspirants only need to come for the PI round. The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview round for further selection. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants will need to prove their eligibility by provding necessary documents for verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

 Yes, UPESEAT is University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test. University of Petroleum & Energy Studies  (UPES) conducts the examination every year online for the admission of suitable candidates to its various BTech courses. It is a self-financed, UGC and AICTE approved University. Admission in UPES is done through UPESEAT, JEE Main scorecard, and Board merit list. 80% of seats of the University are filled through UPESEAT and the rest 20% are filled on the basis of the JEE Main scorecard and Class 12 result. Yes, UPES Dehradun accepts JEE Main score for admission to BTech/ BTech (Hons) course. However, aspirants must also pass Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Maths/ Biology, and English in Class 12 to apply with JEE Main or CUET score. Candidates must secure at least 50 percentile for admission to through SAT India score. For aspirants who wish to apply with their merit in the last qualifying exam must pass Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 75%-80% aggregate and a minimum of 75%-80% aggregate in Class 12 PCM subjects. Candidates can also appear for UPESEAT conducted by the university. As soon as the selection round gets over, aspirants will need to prove their eligibility by provding necessary documents for verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university. UPES BTech fee ranges between INR 10.2 lakh - INR 18.5 lakh as per an unofficial source. The fee is calculated based on tuition fee and does not includes other fee components. 

UPES Dehradun admission to BCA course is based on CUET-UG. Aspirants who have not appeared for the entrance exam can come for personal interview round. Additionally, candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate along with Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology as one of the major subjects in Class 12 can apply for the BCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. There are a total of 60 seats in the BCA course. The total tuition fee for BCA ranges between INR 3.42 Lacs and INR 4.82 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee excludes hostel charges and other admission expenses.
