Amongst the two institutions - University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, and Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, one should blindly go for Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences. This college has very good course structure and provides excellent placement opportunities to the students offering it at HCL, IBM, EMC etc. With the very magnificent facility of Global Exchange programme served even to Design students, the college stands out granting them global design exposure. Looking at UPES, the college is extremely good, however, not for B. Des, because the biggest drawback that anyone can face is that one student can't change his/

Looking at the past results, no student has been given placement from the college during their final year in M.Des, but they have certainly got Pre-Placement offers from the places they went for internship. The value of course done from here is impeccable which makes a student eligible to get excellent jobs in companies with their made portfolio.
I wouldn't suggest anybody to go for seeking after M.Des from University Of Petroleum and Energy Studies, because the required environment that a Designing student should get is not present here.

Hello Ashwin,
In second year, students are sent for internship to private and government construction companies, design consultant companies and in offshore companies to work and enrich their knowledge. Placements are likewise good where last year students were placed in prominent companies like JLL, Vedanta, TCS, WindForce, Ujaas.

You should try to get admission in IITs or NITs because the college is good but there are better

Hello Aakash,
Let us compare both the colleges. ISME provides better scholarship than UPES and stands out in terms of low fee than that to be paid at UPES. But in terms of the course curriculum, placement opportunities, and Infrastructure, UPES provides better results. Amongst these colleges, UPES is better.
I hope this help.
Good luck!

UPES is a self funded private university. All the branches in this college are good. Chemical, petroleum, computer science, fire and safety are the leading branches in placement.
