B.Tech placements at School of Petroleum Technology (SPT), Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University are strong, with consistently high placement rates and attractive salary packages. The average placement rate over the past few years is 90% and 100% placement for B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering in 2023. School of Petroleum Technology (SPt) at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University accepts only Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores for admission to its B.Tech programs. There is no alternative entrance exam accepted.

For B.Tech. programmes, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) provides a number of scholarships, one of which is the Merit Scholarship, which waives all tuition costs for students beginning with their first semester. Students will receive a full tuition waiver if they are admitted based on the following ACPC and JEE Main rank banks for different courses.
