The candidates should note that the PCS officers are recruited through the UPPCS exam and the educational qualification required to become a PCS officer is a graduate in any discipline. Some posts in UPPCS exam required additional educational qualification, which is mentioned in the official notification. There is no minimum percentage required to fill the UPPSC PCS application. The Commission provides a level playing field to all the candidates.

No, the UPPSC is the name of the state commission that is Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and PCS means the Provincial Civil Service. The PCS is the name of top service in the state (after IAS). The PCS officers are posted as SDM, Project Director and the likes. The PCS officers are only second to the IAS officers posted in the state. The PCS officers are eligible for promotion to the IAS cadre subject to certain conditions.

The State PCS Officers can be promoted to the IAS subject to certain conditions laid down by UPSC. Every year, out of the total vacancies of IAS (in a state), 33% is filled through the promotion. The minimum years of service is 12 years. Only after completing this much years in service, the candidate become eligible for such promotion. The UPSC will form a Committee for the promotion in the Chairmanship of UPSC member. States Chief Secretary will also be the member of that Committee.

There are 8 question papers in the UPPSC PCS main exam. All the papers are compulsory and the marks secured in all the papers are counted for the final merit. The UPPSC Main exam is a descriptive type exam where the candidates are required to write conventional essay type answers in the answer sheet provided by the Commission. In UPPSC prelims exam, there are two question papers where the second paper is qualifying only and the UPPCS Prelims General Studies paper 1 marks are calculated for the merit list.

A. UPPSC PCS is considered as one of the toughest exams in the state. The Age limit for UPPSC PCS exam is different for the different categories. It is defined as follows
Lower Age limit is 21 years
Upper Age Limit is 40 years
The age of the candidates is counted as on July 1 of the exam year. The age is counted from January 1 of the exam year. The Commission provides relaxation in the upper age limit to candidates belonging to the reserve categories.

It is a very subjective consideration. Each candidate should assess his or her potential and weaknesses by analysing the previous year question papers and decide accordingly. The candidates should take advice from seniors, mentors and SEE the Toppers videos for the right strategy and plans. In case, the candidates need feels that he or she needs guidance, then he or she must join the coaching.

The candidate must have a Bachelors degree to fill the UPPSC exam application form. Some special posts require special educational qualifications. There is no minimum percentage in the Graduation exam required to fill out the UPPSC application. The candidate with any percentage and stream can apply for the exam. The candidates appearing in their final year of qualifying exam can also apply for the exam.

Yes, the UP government approved the removal of the optional subject from the UPPSC PCS main exam 2023. The government also approved the addition of two papers in the UPPCS main exam which will ask the Uttar Pradesh specific General Knowledge and questions related to the folklores of the state. The UPPSC PCS 2024 exam will also be conducted as per the new exam syllabus.

The UPPSC PCS notification 2024 notification was released online on January 2, 2024. The Commission activated the UPPSC PCS 2024 applications with the release of official notification. The Commission provided over one month to fill out the UPPSC UPPCS 2024 applications. The last date to apply for the UPPSC 2024 exam was February 2, 2024.The Commission is expected to conduct the UPPSC 2024 prelims exam on March 17, 2024. The UPPSC 2024 admit cards are expected to be released by March 7, 2024.

Yes, the UPPSC PCS result 2022 has been released on April 7. The Commission released the names, roll number and category of the candidates. Divya Sikarwar topped the UPPSC PCS exam 2022. Kumar Gaurav topped the exam in the male category. The Commission selected 364 candidates against the 383 vacancies. 10 candidates were selected based on the marks of the main exam only. The UPPSC result 2022 was released for 30 posts notified for the exam. UPPCS PCS 2022 main exam result was released online on February 9.
