Hi,
Pune is better than Hyderabad & Visakhapatnam for UPSC coaching, because the two cities weren't good in providing the peak level teaching to UPSC.

You should focus on mostly all the subjects but those which are mostly used for asking questions are history, geography, economics and political science. Focus on current affairs and look for the interview questions and answers online.

Hi,
You cannot do two degrees at a same time as per UGC rules, yes you can prepare for UPSC as for UPSC a degree is required, so it would be better you choose one degree.

Hi, preparing for UPSC not only needs hard work but smart work, when talking about the syllabus of UPSC it is limitless, but smart work can enhance your preparation. For this, I believe you need to study NCERT books mainly from class 9th to class 12th for subjects like polity and geography. NCERT textbook on microfinance for class 11th and class 12; NCERT text book biology of class 12th botany for ecology; NCERT class 9th - class 10th for Science and technology and NCERT class 6th to class 12th for History and Art and Culture. Hi Aman, UPSC exam in its official website itself recommends to only and strictly follow NCERT books for the preparation and many a times questions are either directly fetched or moulded from the NCERT textbooks itself along with current affairs updates from newspaper The Hindu and The Indian Express. Along with them, you may go for M. Laxmikanth book for polity of India and study of constitution. Hi, This is the dilemma I have recently gone through and now can perfectly advise you not to go follow the herd. It is not at all required to join some famed institute in Delhi for the preparation of UPSC as most of the results displayed at the institutes of Delhi are fake and forged. This exam demands reading and devoting time to subjects as much as you can and many of my near ones have cleared it via self study itself.
