If you prepare honestly and with full dedication, 3 months study is sufficient time span and if you have a clear path and proper guidance then coaching is not necessary.
Best of luck.

Dear Aaditya,
You need to first clear your aim what you actually want to do, that is, whether to clear GATE or UPSC. Yes, you have sufficient time to clear UPSC but for that, try to make your basics strong, like your GK level. Surround yourself with those who have great knowledge regarding interviews, current affairs, etc.
Thanks.

Hi, 'UPSC exams needed a lot preparation. 18 hours a day is also suppose to be less to prepare for the exams. UG from any stream will fetch you a chance to pursue UPSC exams. I suggest you to start preparing from now and for your reference I'm sharing the link which has the syllabus for UPSC exams. Your chances for a job in government sector are widely open for you, so if your hobby is in teaching then go for B.Ed and to be on upper level teacher such as PGT or professor go for M.Sc then B.Ed. So if you ask me to choose better for you then it would be M.Sc then B.Ed.

There are no shortcuts. But if you want to clear in first attempts, you need three things:
1. Three years of hard work
2. Complete dedication but still give yourself time to take your mind off, too much study might make you forget everything.
3. Luck. At the end or depends on by whom and how your papers will be evaluated.

All you have to do is manage your time likewise. You should maintain a balance between both of them. Pay proper attention to the course curriculum in the college and invest rest of the time in the IAS preparations. If you are taking coaching for that, then it might be more difficult because of the timings. Try if you can adjust without them or try to get into weekend courses. This might be exhausting times of your life, but believe me, the result will be as good.

Yes, it is useful to give competitive exams like UPSC, MPSC, or any other competitive exam.
You can opt for any course for your UG programme, as the field of education does not really matter, when you apply for a UPSC exam. What matters is that, you should be a graduate and how you perform in the exam. To prepare for the exam, refer to class 9th to class 12th NCERT books of Geography, History and Civics. Read at least 2 newspapers daily, and join the mock test series in order to clear the exam.
