You could say that. It is specialised course aimed towards the Civil Services aspirants. Its syllabus is also quite similar to the syllabus of PCS. But it is not limited to that. You can also pursue Masters after it.

UPSC Exam is conducted to fill the recruitment of civil services exam IAS IFS, NDA, CDS, and SCRA which include several services like IRS, IPS, IRPS, and IFS etc. Almost 3-4 lac students fill the application form every year and total number of vacancies is almost 1100. The SSC exam is conducted for various posts in various ministries, department & organisation. This year, total 30,26,598 candidates fill the application form and 4733 vacancies are available. Exams under SSC are SSC CHSL, SSC CGL, SSC CDS and SSC CPO.

Every coaching center have same agenda so I will advise you to follow the syllabus. Go to the coaching center and see the total selection of students in last 5 years. You will automatically get your answer.

Of course, you can. You only need a degree to appear for UPSC, so relax, you just need to get the B.Des degree to appear in UPSC.

For UPSC, you must pass Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Candidates who are awaiting their the final year results or are yet to take such final exam can also apply and take the prelims, but they should produce proof of passing while applying for the UPSC Mains exam.
