It is not necessary that you go for BA or a B.Sc. Any degree holder is eligible for giving UPSC exam. But if you are a science student then you should go for B.Sc rather than going for a BA. B.Sc course is a graduate degree course in science; this can be done as a part-time or full-time course. This course forms the basis of science and comprises of the subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, zoology and mathematics. Some institutions that offer these courses are:

Hi, 'UPSC exams needed a lot preparation. 18 hours a day is also suppose to be less to prepare for the exams. UG from any stream will fetch you a chance to pursue UPSC exams. I suggest you to start preparing from now and for your reference I'm sharing the link which has the syllabus for UPSC exams. Your chances for a job in government sector are widely open for you, so if your hobby is in teaching then go for B.Ed and to be on upper level teacher such as PGT or professor go for M.Sc then B.Ed. So if you ask me to choose better for you then it would be M.Sc then B.Ed.

To be eligible for becoming a drug inspector for most the qualification is Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. For joining B.Pharmacy or equivalent course one should be 10+2 class passed with physics, chemistry and biology (PCB) as main subjects.

About Kannada, you can check for the centers on UPSC portal. There are 4 GS papers+ 1 essay paper + 2 optional papers + 2 regional language paper. All the papers will be written from the same center.
