Take admission in BA and with it, join coaching classes for civil services.
It is a great option.
Focus more on you civil preparation.

For geography, the best source is NCERT(XI & XII) and Oxford atlas, which is more than enough for the prelims part. Additionally, if you have time, you can for geography by Goh Cheng Leong and other guide material. For economics, best would be Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh. Apart from this, Mrunal videos on economics are depth full and good for covering the entire economics syllabus.

The students who wish to join for UPSC Exams SPIPA Centre should be graduate or PG from a valid University of India. Further, the other conditions are:
Mother Tongue of the candidates should be Gujarati or 1st Degree of Graduation from Gujarat or Ordinarily, a residence of Gujarat will be entitled to apply for admission.
This is a full-time course and candidates are not allowed to join any job or outside study.

Yes, you can opt for mathematics as an optional subject for UPSC civil services examination. Some of the popular books for the paper I are:

It is not necessary to join the JNU programme, because if that would have been the case then engineers opting for arts/humanities optional like public administration, geography or history would not have been cracking the civil services examination. The syllabus of optional is desgined in such a way, which can be finished in 6 to 8 months, if done regressively. Second, there is no issue joining the JNU programme as it is good for career enhancement too, but preparing for civil services cannot be the only factor.

UPSC preparation requires constant mentoring and guidance. Most of the coaching institutes follow a very generic approach where they cover syllabus through classes and notes. Most of the students are not aware of the requirements of the competition, changing trends and pattern. They should be facilitated to find their approach to crack every stage of the competition. The 50% of this competition is psychological where one's composure and mental equanimity actually helps to crack it in limited time frame. So, coaching institute can only guide you to an extent, but major hard work has to be done by you.

2. Choose the subject for civil service main examination according to your stream of study. in which subject you have good knowledge choose only that subject. first read the syllabus of each paper then choose the paper according to your knowledge.
3. Do not be tensed at the time of examination. if the question is tough then it is tough for everyone. so you should not worry about you. whatever you will know just answer them.
