No, the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission does not conduct the UPSSSC VDO or UP Gram Vikas Adhikari exam every year. The UPSSSC VDO exam was conducted in 2018 which was rescheduled after the cancellation of the exam in June 2023. According to the trends of UPSSSC, the exam is conducted once in five years.

There is no recommended dress code by the UPSSSC in order to appear for the UP VDO exam. However, the candidates taking the exam are advised to do the following thing before appearing for the exam:Attire: Candidates should not wear shoes or footwear with thick soles. Also, candidates must not wear clothes with large buttons or steel buttons to the test centre. Personal belongings: Candidates should not carry any personal belongings such as mobile phones, purses or electronic devices such as calculators inside the test centre.
