Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh conducts the UPTAC counselling. The counselling is held at state level based on scores f various national level enetrance exms liks JEE Mains, NATA, CUET UG and PG. The participating colleges of the UPTAC counselling process icnludes all institutions affiliated/constituent to AKTU and 12 other state universities.

UPSEE is Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam which is no londer held. The last UPSEE exam was held in 2020. Since then, it has been replaced by the JEE Main for admission to undergraduate programs in engineering and other fields in Uttar Pradesh.Now, UPTAC counselling is held for admission of the candidates to the first year of BTech/BArch/BBA/BMS/BCA/BDes/BPharm/BHMCT /BFAD/BFA/BVoc/MBA/MBA (Integrated)/MCA/MCA(Integrated)/M Tech (Integrated) and 2nd Year (Lateral Entry) of BTech/BPharmacy/MCA.BTech admission are one based on JEE Main scores. In UPTAC counselling for BTech admission, candidates need at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of reserved category) in the following subjects taken together: Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship.ORcandidates must have passed minimum 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

UPTAC counselling usually has 5 rounds and 1 special round. Candidates eligible for UPTAC counselling must complete the UPTAC registration, upload their documents, undergo document verification, fill in their choices, check the allotted seats, submit their willingness, and pay the seat confirmation fee. After the online UPTAC counselling concludes, candidates are required to physically report to finalize the admission process.

The official website for UPTAC counselling is uptac.admissions.nic.in. UPTAC counselling will be held online and the complete UPTAC 2025 counselling schedule will be uploaded on the official website. Candidates have to register for UPTAC counselling on the official website only and all the counselling related information will be uploaded on the official website. Candidates must keep track of the official website for all the UPTAC counselling updates.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will publish the full schedule for UPTAC 2025 counseling on the official website, uptac.admissions.nic.in.
