The difficulty level of the UPTET exam can vary depending on individual preparation and understanding of the subjects. Accoridng to the previous trends, the UPTET exam is considered Easy to Moderate in nature. It requires a comprehensive understanding of the syllabus, strong conceptual knowledge, and the ability to solve questions within the given time frame. The exam tests candidates on subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language Hindi and English Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Social Studies. With proper preparation, including studying the syllabus, practicing previous years' question papers, and taking mock tests, candidates can increase their chances of performing well in the UPTET exam.

The duration of the UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam is 2.5 hours (150 minutes) for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam is conducted in two shifts, with Paper 1 conducted in the morning shift and Paper 2 conducted in the afternoon shift. Each paper of the UPTET Exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark. It is important to note that the UPTET exam is conducted in two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The marking scheme for both papers is the same, with each paper consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions and carrying a maximum of 150 marks. However, the content of the two papers is different, and candidates need to appear for the paper that is relevant to their desired teaching level.

Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to qualify UPTET Paper 1. Candidates planning to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to qualify for UPTET Paper 2. Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to qualify both papers. The candidates have to apply for the papers according to their eligibility set by the board.
