The requirements to join the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are as follows: Undergraduate Admissions: Completion of a minimum of 16 units of high school coursework within the five traditional academic areas – English, mathematics, social studies, science, and foreign language. Submission of SAT or ACT scores. International Student Admissions: The same entrance standards apply to domestic and international students. All students that live on campus in the residence halls, except for those living in Swanson Hall, are required to purchase one of the anytime access meal plans. Students who live in off-campus housing, Greek housing, Swanson Hall, Apartment-Style Housing, and UND Apartments are able to select from the non-residence hall student meal plan options.

The University of North Dakota Student Employment programme provides part time job opportunities to student to help finance their educational needs along with providing work experience which allows students to explore career options, discover strengths, and see how academic learning applies to world of work. The positions are available on campus and wages vary depending on the job. International students are not eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS), however, they can still work on-campus.
