Yes, there could be problems if you change your legal first name spelling in India and apply for study abroad (visa application) in the USA.The US Department of State (DOS) requires that your name on your visa application match the name on your passport. If your name spelling is different on your passport and visa application, the DOS may deny your visa application.

The United States of America offers three types of visas to students; F-1, J-1 and M-1. So, the cost of a student visa will depend on the type of visa you are applying for. The US visa cost for a F-1 student visa is USD 185. F-1 visa is for international students who are applying for a programme in any American university that requires more than 18 hours of study in a week. J-1 student visa is for exchange students, and M-1 student visa is for students enrolled in vocational and non-academic programs.

There are a lot of Indian students studying in Missouri. Indian students at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, have favourable things to say about the academic programmes, campus life, and support services. The faculty is very friendly and supportive there. Missouri City also boasts a variety of accommodation alternatives, including apartments and houses for rent.
