For a seat in MIT, you need to work extremely hard to build your profile. You must demonstrate ability to do research, think critically and creatively. You must have impeccable academics, and diverse extracurricular activities demonstrating a significant level of engagement in them. All that said, you must understand that only 2-3% of Indian applicants get accepted at colleges like MIT. Work hard.

B.Tech is the best option in my opinion, if you can get a good college. Otherwise B.Sc. is also fine. You can later sit for SAT exam and get a good score. The score will allow you to choose a good college and you can also apply for scholarship in the college you wish to take admission.

If you have science subjects with more than 70% marks, you are eligible. You have to do IELTS or TOEFL and then apply for admission, you will get it.
