Hi,
Since majority of the universities in US prefers a four year Bachelor's degree obtaining a lateral entry after the second year will be difficult. You should get email the universities directly for the university specific requirements for your case.

The USA is the hub for MS and would be a much better option than studying in Ireland. It has a much broader base of colleges offering courses in MS, and degrees from the US are most definitely recognized across the globe. Some of the industries one can get involved with after completing M.Sc in biotechnology are as follows:
1) Research Institutes
2) Education
3) Hospitals
4) Power industries
5) Aviation Industry
