Hello, if you have a competitive profile you can avail a scholarship. Normally, applicants are considered for scholarships at the time of application and awarded on merit basis. MS programs generally lead to a Ph.D, whether you want to complete your Ph.D after your MS has to be your sole decision based on your career goals. A few MS programs are such that you have to continue to a Ph.D program after completion of the MS program e.g a couple of programs in Arizona State University.

Hello, You should choose a course on the basis of your interest and not for only settlement. I am sure while you may select the course for which you are interested, you may end up performing it better academically. More than that, it depends on your interest and background as well. If this is a Masters which is STEM focused, you may have up to 3 years of stay back in USA and MBA in most cases would be a 12 months only.
