In the UTET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. UTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the UTET exam.

No, it's not necessary, to attempt both papers in the UTET exam. If you want to become a teacher at the primary level (nursery to 5) then go for paper 1 and if you want to become a teacher at the junior level (6 to 8) then go for paper 2. The UTET exam is held for two papers i. e. paper 1 and paper 2. Students planning to teach Classes 1 to class 8 need to give both papers. Both UTET papers are conducted on the same day. The UTET Notification was released on the official website. The Uttrakhand Government releases the UTET Notification in Hindi. The UTET Notification PDF will contain crucial details of the exam including the application process, eligibility criteria, important dates, exam pattern, syllabus and others. Candidates who qualify for the UTET exam become eligible to apply for recruitment as Primary or Upper Primary level teachers in the schools of Uttarakhand. Qualifying candidates will receive their UTET eligibility Certificate after the declaration of the result.
