It's great that you want to start a travel business, Although not a mandate however it is always better as through a qualification you know the basics of this industry:
In order to run a travel/tourism/hotel company, its best that you know the basics, like:
- day-to-day operations
- the inter-relationship between the Travel, Tourism & Hospitality industry,

IATA stands for International Air Transport Association which is responsible to serve the airline industry. All the Airline rules and regulations are defined by IATA.The main aim of IATA is to provide safe and secure transportation to its passengers.
IATA also accredits courses also and to know the various courses offered in India and accredited by IATA, you may refer to the following link:

Eligibility : Master's Degree in Tourism/ Hotel Management/ Aviation Management/ Geography/ Sociology/ History from any accredited Indian or Foreign University with a minimum of 55% marks or grade point average.
Duration : 2 Yrs
