There is a skill set that is a mandate for aspirants of T& T Industry:
-leadership
-team working
-problem
-solving
-communication skills, with a strong customer focus;-IT skills -ability to research-presentation skills
-ability to work to deadlines.
Knowledge of a foreign language, although not a a mandate can definitely be an impressive factor, as this would give you an edge over other competitors.Also as you would be handling a profile that involves communication with foreigners, therefore your work becomes easy.

As far as the concern for job security in Travel Industry or any other Private Sector, there is no guaranty, it all depends upon your performance along with adaptability in their organization. Some times performance is good but adaptability is non or less, then there starts a problem with the job.
