Yes, the University offers a RUSA Doctoral Fellowship for / MPhil PhD students. The University announces the fellowship of INR 50,000 to INR 75,000 per month depending upon the academic qualifications, research competencies and publications for a maximum period of four years. For this fellowship, candidates can apply through the Common Research Entrance Test (CRET). Apart from this, many other merit and need-based scholarships are also offered such as POSCO Asian Scholarship, Poverty-Cum-Merit Scholarship, namely Khiragovinda, Post-Metric Scholarship, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Scholarship, etc.

Utkal University accepts Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) scores for admission to MBA (Financial Management) and MBA (Rural Management) courses. However, for the MBA (Agribusiness) course, candidates with a valid score of CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ICAR-AIEEA PG/ TISSNET can apply. Those who do not possess scores of the pre-mentioned entrance exams for the MBA in Agribusiness course can also apply via UMAT, which is also conducted by Utkal University.Candidates must note that there is no other provision for admission to the MBA programmes.

The University conducts an entrance test for admission to the MA programme. Candidates seeking admission are required to take the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET). Further, the university shortlists students on the basis of scores secured in the entrance test and releases a merit list. The merit list students can further take admission by paying the required amount of fees to confirm their seat.

 The application fee for all the PG courses is INR 600. Candidates are required to submit this fee to successfully submit the application form. The payment is only accepted through SBI e-Pay for all the courses. A receipt with the payment details must be kept for future reference. In case of any doubt, students can also visit the web portal of Utkal University e-admission (utkaluniversity.nic.in). Furthermore, as per the last year's data, the application fee for MTech/MPhil and PhD courses is INR 1,000 and INR 1,500, respectively.

Yes, candidates can download the application form and submit it at the University office. The hard copy of the application form can be collected from the respective department. This completed form can further be submitted to the department along with copies of the necessary documents. The documents required with the application form are Class 10 and Class 12 marksheet, graduation degree and marksheet (if applicable), postgraduation degree and marksheet (if required), migration certificate, character certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), original application fee e-receipt, and one passport-size photograph.

 The university offers various courses through its different departments. Admission to the courses is merit and entrance-based. Moreover, the application process is carried out in online mode. Candidates who meet the course-specific eligibility criteria can apply by visiting the university's official website (utkaluniversity.nic.in). Students are shortlisted based on scores on the respective entrance exam and called for further admission rounds (if any). Selected students can confirm their seats by paying the required fee.

The Utkal University admission process for the year 2023 has been completed. The admission process for UG & PG courses usually begins every year in April. Around the same timeline, the university releases an official notification on its website. With the registration portal activation, the admission procedure also commences for the academic year. For Utkal University 2024 admissions, the procedure is also expected to commence in the first or second week of April.

The total tuition fee ranges between INR 1,100 – INR 80,200. This fee is however as per the data available on official sources and hence, is subject to changes. Over 10 colleges affiliated with the university offer B.Ed courses. The fees at the affiliated colleges can vary.
