Finding a part-time job while studying at Utrecht University is generally feasible, but it can sometimes be challenging, especially for international students. Many students find part-time employment in restaurants, bars, shops, or at the Utrecht Science Park. Job vacancies can also be found through several employment agencies, advertisements, newspapers, noticeboards, and online platforms. Additionally, international students are subject to certain conditions when working in the Netherlands. Dutch universities do not own accommodation buildings and housing. However, Utrecht University does offer a Reserved Accommodation Programme with limited furnished rooms and studios for new international students who meet the requirements. This does not guarantee a room for international students. Since, the housing is not owned by Utrecht University, so, contracts are between the tenant and housing provider. Accommodation booking is done on first come, first served basis.
