The university accepts Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), a business aptitude test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBA/PGDM courses. CMAT is a MCQ based entrance test. It is an easy to medium difficulty level exam. Over 50,000 aspirants appear for it every year, on an average. 

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University MBA is offered only in one specialisations Business Administration in a full-time mode. The duration of the course is of two-year. Admission to MBA at VNSGU is based on the guidelines of the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). The Department of Business and Industrial Management also offers MBA (Evening) for working executives. Admission to the programme is based on performance in the entrance exam.
