The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) offers various undergraduate programs in different fields of study. The university charges different fees for different UG courses based on the duration and nature of the program.  The annual fees for a 4-year B.Tech course is Rs. 74,000 which includes Rs. 35,000 as tuition fees and Rs. 39,000 as other fees covering development charges, laboratory charges, student welfare fund, etc.The fees for a 3-year UG course like BCA, BBA, and BSC are slightly lower at Rs. 60,000 per annum including Rs. 30,000 as tuition fees and Rs. 30,000 as other charges.   For UG Diploma courses of 3 years duration, the annual fees are Rs. 30,000 including Rs. 15,000 as tuition fees and Rs. 15,000 as other institutional charges. The fee structure remains the same for all the Diploma programs offered at VSSUT.   Students also have to pay a one-time admission fee and security deposit at the time of taking admission to any UG program. The admission fee is Rs. 2,000 and the security deposit is Rs. 5,000 which is refunded after completion of the course.The fees mentioned above are for students from Odisha state. Non-resident Indian and foreign national students have to pay higher fees as decided by the university from time to time.

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) offers direct admission to its undergraduate programs including B.Tech. Candidates who have qualified JEE Main or Odisha JEE can seek admission through direct entry. VSSUT admits students to various B.Tech programs through direct entry based on their JEE Main or Odisha JEE rank. To be eligible for direct admission, candidates must have:• Secured at least the minimum required rank in JEE Main or Odisha JEE. The cut-off ranks vary for different programs and categories.   • Satisfied the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of qualifying examination, subjects, marks etc. as specified by VSSUT.• Applied online through the official admission portal of VSSUT during the scheduled admission round.• Appeared for counseling and document verification as per the schedule.  • Paid the requisite admission fees.Candidates can check the direct admission process details, program-wise seats availability, rank-wise opening and closing ranks, fee structure and other relevant information on the official website of VSSUT. The admission process usually starts in June and concludes by July end every year. 

The eligibility criteria for admission to M.Tech programs at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology include the following:The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognised university with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required percentage is 50%.The candidate must have valid GATE score in the relevant discipline. The GATE score will be used for shortlisting candidates for the admission process. The GATE score is not required for M.Tech programs in some disciplines.The selection of candidates will be based on the performance in the personal interview and/or group discussion, depending on the program. The interview will assess the candidate's aptitude, subject knowledge, and communication skills.The university may specify additional eligibility requirements based on the specific M.Tech program. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the GATE exam and the interview.  The number of seats available in each programme and category will be filled based strictly on merit.

The university offers merit-based scholarships as well as scholarships for students from economically weaker sections. Some of the key merit-based scholarship programs at VSSUT are:• VSSUT Merit Scholarship: The university offers 25% tuition fee waiver to students who secure more than 90% marks in their qualifying examination. The scholarship is available for the entire duration of the undergraduate program.• VSSUT Merit Cum Means Scholarship: This scholarship offers 50% tuition fee waiver to students who secure more than 80% marks in their qualifying exam and have an annual family income of less than ?3 lakhs. • VSSUT Sports Scholarship: The university offers 100% tuition fee waiver and hostel fee waiver to students who have represented their state or country in national or international sports events.For students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, VSSUT offers the following scholarships:• SC/ST Scholarship: As per government norms, the university offers full tuition fee waiver and stipend to eligible SC/ST category students.• EBC Scholarship: Economically Backward Class students with an annual family income of less than ?1 Lacs are eligible for full tuition fee waiver at VSSUT.

The university has been quite successful in placing its students in reputed companies through campus placements. Several top companies regularly visit the campus for recruitment, including TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Amazon, and Larsen & Toubro. These companies offer lucrative pay packages to the best students. For the 2020-21 placement season, the highest CTC offered was Rs. 30 Lakhs per annum. This high pay package was offered by Amazon to a student of Computer Science Engineering.The average salary package offered to VSSUT students during campus placements ranges from Rs. 3 Lakhs to Rs. 8 Lakhs per annum, depending on the branch and performance of the student.The computer Science and IT branches generally fetch the highest pay packages, followed by electronics and communication engineering. The pay packages have been steadily increasing over the years due to rising demand for technical skills from the IT industry.
