Vel Tech University offers direct admission to the third year For admission to the BTech Lateral Entry course, there is minimum eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled before applying for the course. Those who are interested to apply for this course must pass Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent. As there is no entrance exam required for admission, students will be selected based on their merit performance in the previous qualifying exam.

In order to get admission to BTech, students can get admission through both merit and entrance-based. Aspirants need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place, which is to pass Class 12 with 60% aggregate in the respective subjects or equivalent from any recognised board. Students who get less than 60% aggregate in their previous qualifying exams must qualify for VTUEEE. While those who get more than 60% aggregate will get can direct admission based on their merit performance in their previous qualifying exam. Qualified students also have to fill an online application form on the official website of Vel Tech.

No, it is not mandatory to qualify for VTUEEE, only if aspirants get more than 60% aggregate in their previous qualifying exam as per the minimum eligibility criteria. In this case, they can get direct admission to a four-year course of BTech at Vel Tech. If students do not fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, they have to appear for VTUEEE, which is an in-house entrance exam conducted for admission to Engineering courses. Get here the detailed information to for VITEEE application process.

Yes, Vel Tech offers a four-year BTech and a three-year BTech (Lateral Entry) course. These courses are offered across 15 specialisations and further other sub-specialisations. Some of the popular ones are Aeronautical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, etc. Apart from that, students can also get direct admission to the third year of BTech through Lateral Entry.

Vel Tech University offers admission to its UG and PG courses via both merit and entrance-based. Those who want to get admission to Vel Tech are required to appear for either the university's in-house entrance exam for Engineering courses. i.e., Vel Tech Engineering Entrance Exam (VTUEEE). In order to get admission to Vel Tech University, there is a selection process that every student needs to qualify. It includes fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Admission to both UG and PG courses at Vel Tech is either merit or entrance-based. Students can also get direct admission through merit-based admission. To get admission to any of the courses, students will be selected based on their performance in the qualifying exam. Veltech is better for any branch. It is a deemed university. It has many tie-ups with foreign companies to provide placements to the students. SVCE is also good, but compared to Veltech, it is not up to the mark.
